Bedroom Fire,
Mutual Aid to Seneca Hose
Union Firefighters were alerted on a 2nd
alarm assignment, mutual aid to Seneca Hose Fire Company to a Benson Avenue
residence with a fire in a bedroom. Winchester
and Vigilant also responded on the first alarm, the 2nd alarm
assignment would also see East Seneca and Reserve respond,
a FAST Team from Newton-Abbott of Hamburg
was also summoned to the scene.
Crews from Seneca Hose and Winchester reported
heavy smoke conditions spreading from the second floor bedroom to the attic.
The fire was knocked down within an hour, two 1 ¾” lines were put into action
by fire crews.
Both West Seneca Town and Erie County Fire
Investigators were called to investigate the fire, Red Cross officials
assisted residents displaced by the fire.
