Mutual Aid to Reserve, East and West Road Basement Fire

Union Fire Company responded mutual aid to Reserve Fire Company to a structure fire, which began in the basement of a multiple occupant structure in the 600-block of East and West Road. The fire was essentially confined to the basement; Rural Metro Ambulance transported 2-adult residents to area hospitals for smoke inhalation, two children and one adult were released at the scene under direction of medical control. Fire Investigators from both the Town of West Seneca and Erie County, along with an emergency enclosure company were also summoned to the scene. A clothes dryer located in the basement is listed as the probable cause of the fire.
