Structure Fire with Vigilant Fire Company

A space heater shorting out an electrical outlet is listed as a probable cause of a fire in a rear room of a Willowdale Drive residence in Vigilants’ district. Union Fire Company responded mutual aid with Reserve to assist Vigilant at the fire, which caused extensive damage to rear bedroom and stairway area. Crews remained on scene for well over an hour; fire investigators from West Seneca Police and Erie County Sheriffs were also called to the scene.
